Aryna Sabalenka ended the tour with an impressive twenty-three to three Grand Slam win-loss record.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been selected the Women's Tennis Association player of the year for a second straight year.

The 27-year-old won four tournament victories – the highest tally on the circuit – which included successfully defending the US Open in September against Amanda Anisimova to claim her fourth career Grand Slam singles triumph.

A Season of Consistency

Over the course of the tour, Sabalenka competed in a circuit-leading nine finals, with losses coming to Madison Keys in the Australian Open final at the start of the year and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.

The Belarusian also claimed victory at the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open in March, and the Madrid Open in May. She remained the whole season as the world number one, ending 2025 atop the rankings for a second straight year.

This past summer, she achieved the status of being the first athlete to top 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams did so nearly a decade ago.

Historic Statistics

Sabalenka concluded the season with a sixty-three to twelve match record, and picked up a record eleven million pounds in earnings.

She garnered almost eighty percent of the votes cast by international tennis media.

Later this month, she is set to play 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match with the aim of "elevate women's tennis to a higher level".
