The former president's Granddaughter Seeks Professional Advice from Tiger Woods Before LPGA Debut
The rising star boasts impressive social media presence
The young golfer can count on plenty of high-profile supporters as she begins her LPGA debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, obtained a sponsor's invitation to participate at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
The former president, someone who loves golf, possesses multiple golf courses and frequently competes against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we play competitive games," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who won't be present, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."
"He essentially advised me to play and enjoy myself," she continued.
"To me, he's simply an ordinary family member. He won't be there for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, making him quite busy."
As an amateur, Kai has participated in only three events recently and has ranking 461 in AJGA rankings.
Yet she can seek guidance from golf legend, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He stands as the top athlete globally," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's an even better person. He told me to go out there, enjoy myself, adapting to the flow."
She'll challenge multiple top competitors in professional golf at the Annika, including world number two Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to new audiences, especially with younger fans.
The young star maintains millions of followers and recently launched a personal fashion and living company.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
